I'm going to look at a G6200 today and the guy selling it wants $2000 it has less then 1000hrs on motor. Was this a good machine and is there anything I should look out for.

I assume you know this is a garden tractor. 2000 might be a good price if it is a diesel. The hours 'on motor' usually means the original motor went south, so that is always a bit of a red flag. I dont know much about the lawn and garden kubotas, other than the new G1800 series. ....

The older G series is a very good tractor.The only way you will hurt that engine,is to get it hot.Just check the front pto pulley,and make sure it is not hard to start.generally if they have been run hot they wont start very good.Just be sure to preheat it first. ....
